The Aerpro AMAHY8 is a complete head unit upgrade kit engineered specifically for the Hyundai iX35 LM1 and LM2 (2009-2013) in digitally amplified vehicles fitted with a Hyundai Mobis 96170 (6 stacker) or LM01 factory head unit. The kit centres on the Aerpro AM9X 9 inch multimedia receiver featuring wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a large 9 inch capacitive touchscreen, built-in Bluetooth with A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, and PBAP profiles, AM/FM tuner with RDS, 50W x 4 max power output, 8 band graphic EQ with time alignment, and 4V 5-channel RCA preouts for amplifier integration.
All components required for a complete installation are included in the kit. Factory feature retention covers steering wheel controls including the phone button and the factory digital amplified system. Please note AUX and USB input retention are not included in this kit - the Aerpro APHYUSB4 USB/AUX Retention Adaptor is available separately for customers who require these features. This head unit requires the park brake wire to be connected to the park brake for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to function.

Does this kit retain factory AUX and USB inputs?
No, not in the base kit. AUX and USB input retention are not included with the AMAHY8. The Aerpro APHYUSB4 USB/AUX Retention Adaptor is available separately for customers who require these features. We recommend adding it to your order if you use the factory AUX or USB input regularly.
Does Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work straight away after installation?
The AM9X supports wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, however the park brake wire must be connected to the park brake for these features to function. Please ensure this step is completed during installation.
How do I know if my iX35 is a digitally amplified model?
The AMAHY8 is designed for Hyundai iX35 LM1 and LM2 (2009-2013) vehicles fitted with a Hyundai Mobis 96170 (6 stacker) or LM01 factory head unit. If you are unsure whether your vehicle is a digitally amplified variant, please contact us before purchasing to confirm the correct kit for your model.
Can I connect an external amplifier to this head unit?
Yes. The AM9X features 4V 5-channel RCA preouts including a dedicated subwoofer output, allowing external amplifiers to be added to the system. Subwoofer level control is also available.
Is an additional antenna adaptor required for installation?

Sound quality is superb with 50Wx4 max output, 8 band graphic EQ and time alignment capabilities, amplifiers can be added to the system via the 4V/5CH RCA preouts. Supplied as a complete Head Unit Upgrade Kit, the Aerpro AMAIZ1B includes all the parts required to complete the installation and retains important vehicle features including steering wheel controls and the factory reverse camera (if equipped).
