The Rockford Fosgate Punch Pro PP4-X is a passive crossover unit designed exclusively for use with Rockford Fosgate Punch Pro 4-Ohm midrange drivers and tweeters it is not a universal crossover and is not compatible with other brands or other Rockford Fosgate series. The PP4-X must be used in conjunction with the built-in 6dB/octave high-pass crossover in the Punch Pro tweeter the two crossovers work as a system to divide the frequency spectrum between the woofer and tweeter outputs.
The PP4-X handles the woofer channel: it provides a 6dB/octave low-pass filter at 3kHz to two woofer outputs, limiting the frequency content delivered to the Punch Pro midrange drivers.
