Stinger SCTYRT4 Toyota 4-Pin Dual-Function Reverse Camera Adaptor Retain OEM Camera or Add Aftermarket Camera 12V or 6V Factory Camera Voltage Test Required ST5V Adaptor Required for 6V Cameras Sold Separately Vehicle Harness Included
The Stinger SCTYRT4 is a dual-function reverse camera adaptor for select Toyota vehicles with a 4-pin Toyota camera connector at the factory radio. It can retain the factory OEM reverse camera when an aftermarket head unit is installed, or add an aftermarket reverse camera to the existing factory radio both via the same 4-pin connector. Plug and play with the included vehicle harness.
Product overview
The SCTYRT4 covers two distinct installation scenarios using the same 4-pin Toyota connector: replacing the head unit while keeping the factory camera working, or keeping the factory head unit and adding an aftermarket camera for reverse visibility. The vehicle harness is included. Before connecting the harness, the factory camera power wires must be tested to determine whether the vehicle has a 12-volt or 6-volt camera failure to do so can result in permanent camera damage. For 6-volt camera vehicles, the ST5V voltage adaptor must be purchased separately. The LandCruiser Prado 150 Series (2009 to 2013) is supported for non-navigation models only navigation-equipped Prado 150 models are not compatible.
Caution Camera Voltage Check Required: Some compatible Toyota vehicles have a 12-volt factory camera and others have a 6-volt factory camera. Always test the OEM camera power wires with a multimeter to confirm voltage BEFORE applying power to the harness. Applying incorrect voltage will damage the factory camera. Where a 6-volt camera is confirmed, the Stinger ST5V voltage adaptor (sold separately) is required before proceeding. Stinger is not liable for camera damage caused by incorrect voltage application.
Features and benefits
Dual function retain or add: Retains the factory OEM camera with an aftermarket head unit, or adds an aftermarket camera to the factory head unit both via the 4-pin Toyota connector.
4-pin Toyota connector: Purpose-built for Toyota vehicles using the 4-pin factory camera connector at the radio.
Vehicle harness included.
Plug and play: Connects directly to the factory 4-pin connector without cutting or splicing factory wiring.
ST5V voltage adaptor required for 6-volt camera vehicles (sold separately): Always test camera voltage before applying power.

Frequently asked questions
What are the two functions of the SCTYRT4? The SCTYRT4 can either retain the factory OEM reverse camera when replacing the head unit with an aftermarket infotainment system, or add an aftermarket reverse camera to the existing factory radio via the 4-pin Toyota connector.
How do I know if my Toyota has a 6V or 12V factory camera? Test the OEM camera power wires with a multimeter before connecting the harness. Do not apply power without confirming the voltage applying 12V to a 6V camera will permanently damage it. If your vehicle has a 6V camera, the Stinger ST5V voltage adaptor (sold separately) is required before installation.
What happens if I apply the wrong voltage to the factory camera? Applying incorrect voltage to the factory camera will damage it. Stinger is not liable for camera damage caused by incorrect voltage application. Always confirm the camera voltage before use.
Is the LandCruiser Prado 150 Series compatible? The 150 Series Prado is compatible for non-navigation models (2009 to 2013) only. Navigation-equipped 150 Series Prado models are not supported.
Is the vehicle harness included? Yes. A vehicle harness is included with the SCTYRT4.
