The Aerpro AMDVW2 is a complete head unit upgrade kit covering eleven Volkswagen models across various years, replacing the factory head unit with a 10" capacitive touchscreen at 1024x600 resolution via the AM1005D multimedia receiver. It adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in DAB+ digital radio, and Bluetooth V5 retaining factory steering wheel controls (including the phone button) and the factory Panasonic amplified audio system where present.

Factory amplifier Panasonic only:
The amplifier retention harness in this kit is compatible with factory Panasonic amplified systems only. It is not compatible with factory Blaupunkt amplified systems for Blaupunkt-equipped vehicles, use the Aerpro AMDVW3 instead. An amplifier trigger wire may need to be connected during installation.
The kit includes the AM1005D multimedia receiver, matte black facia kit, SWC interface harness, SWC patch lead, amplifier retention harness, and antenna adaptor. Note that factory reverse camera and parking tones are not retained on this kit.
