Aerpro AP3161 6.50 Inch MDF Speaker Spacers
The Aerpro AP3161 is a pair of raw MDF speaker spacers built for 6.5 inch speakers, with a 16mm depth and pre-drilled mounting holes. They give your new speaker the right mounting depth and angle in the door or panel, so it sits flush and sounds the way it's meant to.
Product overview
When you swap a factory speaker for an aftermarket 6.5 inch speaker, the new speaker's magnet or basket can be deeper than the space behind your door trim or panel. The AP3161 spacer ring adds 16mm of depth, giving the speaker room to sit properly without rubbing on window mechanisms, trim clips, or other hardware behind the panel. Each spacer has an internal diameter of 146mm and an external diameter of 183mm, sized to suit a standard 6.5 inch speaker opening. They're made from raw MDF (medium density fibreboard), a sturdy wood panel material that holds screws well and won't flex once it's mounted. Because the holes are pre-drilled, you don't need to measure and mark out your own mounting pattern, which saves time during the install. They're sold in pairs, so you get one spacer for each door or panel in a typical front or rear speaker upgrade.
Features and benefits
16mm depth - clears obstructions behind the panel: Adds 16mm of mounting depth so your new 6.5 inch speaker isn't crammed against wiring, window regulators, or structural panel work.
Pre-drilled mounting holes - no measuring required: The bolt pattern is already cut into the spacer, so you line it up and fit it rather than marking out and drilling your own holes.
Raw MDF construction - solid and stable: Made from medium density fibreboard, a dense timber panel material that holds screws firmly and keeps its shape once mounted.
Sold in pairs - one for each side: You get two spacers in the pack, enough for a standard two-speaker upgrade such as both front doors or both rear parcel shelf positions.
