Many BMW models use an OEM amplified audio system where the factory amplifier must remain active after a head unit replacement to preserve audio output through the existing speakers. The SWBM9C retains this OEM amplified system (excluding Harman Kardon), eliminating the need for a separate amplifier retention module in compatible BMW Business head unit vehicles.
