Description
Aerpro SWHO6C Steering Wheel Control Interface for Honda Accord Jazz CR-Z City and Insight Factory Panasonic Head Unit Vehicles
The Aerpro SWHO6C is an analogue steering wheel control (SWC) interface for various Honda models fitted with a factory Panasonic head unit, excluding factory navigation models. It retains steering wheel controls, supports phone and voice assistant buttons, and provides speed pulse and amplifier remote outputs. This interface does not retain the factory display or vehicle settings. No wire cutting is required.
Product overview
The SWHO6C is designed specifically for Honda vehicles fitted with a factory Panasonic head unit it is not a universal Honda interface and will not suit Honda models with other factory head unit types or factory navigation. Before purchasing, confirm that your vehicle has a factory Panasonic head unit and does not have factory navigation. The interface also does not retain the factory display or any vehicle settings that were controlled through the factory head unit.
Phone button and voice assistant button functionality are both supported. If the steering wheel does not have a dedicated voice assistant button, the answer button will function as phone support instead. Both the aftermarket head unit and connected phone must support the voice assistant feature for it to operate. Speed pulse and amplifier remote outputs are provided, and OEM amplified system retention is not supported. Custom button remapping is available using a USB-C cable (sold separately). Pairing with the Aerpro APP8 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness (sold separately) is recommended for a complete installation.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my Honda has a factory Panasonic head unit? The factory Panasonic head unit is typically identified by the Panasonic branding visible on the unit itself. If you are unsure, check your vehicle's documentation or contact us with your VIN for assistance. Do not purchase the SWHO6C if your Honda has a factory navigation system or a head unit brand other than Panasonic.
Why does the SWHO6C not retain the factory display or vehicle settings? The factory display and vehicle settings in these Honda models are integrated into the factory head unit rather than being separate modules. When the factory head unit is replaced, these functions are not carried over by the SWC interface. Confirm this suits your requirements before purchasing.
Does the SWHO6C support phone and voice assistant buttons? Yes, where supported by the steering wheel and aftermarket head unit. If no dedicated voice assistant button is present on the steering wheel, the answer button will function as phone support instead. Both the aftermarket head unit and connected phone must support the voice assistant feature for full voice assistant functionality.
What are the speed pulse and amplifier remote outputs used for? The speed pulse output provides vehicle speed data to the aftermarket head unit for GPS navigation accuracy and speed-dependent functions. The amplifier remote output sends a trigger signal to wake an amplifier when the head unit is active. Connect each to the corresponding input on the head unit or amplifier as required by your installation.
What is the Aerpro APP8 and do I need it? The Aerpro APP8 is a headunit secondary ISO harness that connects between the aftermarket head unit and the SWHO6C interface, simplifying the overall installation. It is sold separately and is recommended but not mandatory for the SWHO6C to function.
