Solid butyl rubber sheets with a thickness of 2.2mm are made from newly manufactured butyl rubber pulp - instead of recycled. Auto-Connect has made this choice to ensure the absolute best damping ability. The starter kit also includes a sheet of sound-absorbing foam with a convex surface structure to reduce standing waves twice as effectively compared to a completely flat material or mats with a more egg-carton-like surface.
