To Connect ("Patch In") One Electronic or Optical Device to Another for Signal Routing
Universal head unit patch lead for connection to the DNA range of EVO SWC series of steering wheel controllers.
NOTE: Use with Type C CAN bus SWC controllers with model numbers ending in (C).
This patch lead works by using a loop with a resistor from pin 12 to pin 4 to tell the interface what make of head unit is present. The coloured loop wires provided represent the different resistor values.
Pins 2, 7 and 8 are used for the signal from the interface to the head unit. This will be either a 3.5mm plug or a single wire, this will depend on the brand of head unit. A 3.5mm plug and a single wire are provided, use the correct lead for the make of the head unit being fitted. Note the orientation of the terminal to be inserted into the connector.
