Dynamat 11901 Dynacore 12mm Thermo-Acoustic Insulation One 813mm x 1372mm Sheet Black Fibre Core Heat Resistant to 177°C UL94 MVSS 302 UL HF1 UL HBF Compliant 1.11sqm Coverage
The Dynamat 11901 Dynacore is one 813mm x 1372mm (32" x 54") sheet of 12mm thermo-acoustic insulation with a black fibre core. 1.11sqm (12 sq ft) of coverage. Absorbs low and mid-frequency sound, provides thermal insulation, and withstands temperatures up to 177°C (350°F). Lightweight, flexible, and compressible. UL94, MVSS 302, UL HF1, and UL HBF certified.
Product overview
Dynacore is an advanced thermo-acoustic material with a black fibre core engineered to absorb low and mid-frequency sound waves while providing thermal insulation in automotive and industrial applications. The fibre core construction differs from Dynaliner's closed cell rubber — where Dynaliner blocks heat through near-zero air infiltration, Dynacore uses a fibrous structure that actively absorbs sound energy across the low and mid-frequency range. At 12mm thick, Dynacore provides substantial acoustic absorption and thermal resistance while remaining lightweight, flexible, and compressible for installation on varied surfaces. Heat resistance to 177°C (350°F) makes it suited to firewall, engine bay, and under-hood applications in addition to standard interior panels. Fully compliant with UL94, MVSS 302, UL HF1, and UL HBF safety standards.

Frequently asked questions
What is Dynacore and how does it differ from Dynaliner?
Dynacore uses a black fibre core that actively absorbs low and mid-frequency sound energy. Dynaliner is a closed cell rubber that blocks heat through near-zero air infiltration. Dynacore is better suited for acoustic absorption applications; Dynaliner is better suited for heat blocking. Both can be used in combination with Dynamat Xtreme for a complete sound and heat treatment.
What safety certifications does Dynacore hold?
The 11901 Dynacore is certified to UL94, MVSS 302, UL HF1, and UL HBF standards. MVSS 302 is the US federal motor vehicle safety standard for flammability of interior materials, making Dynacore suited for automotive interior use.
Is Dynacore suitable for under-hood and firewall applications?
Yes. With heat resistance up to 177°C (350°F), Dynacore is suited to firewall, under-hood, and engine bay applications in addition to standard interior panels such as floors, doors, and roofs.
Does Dynacore need to be used with Dynamat Xtreme?
Dynacore can be used alone or on top of Dynamat Xtreme. For maximum acoustic and thermal performance, combining Dynamat Xtreme for vibration damping with Dynacore for acoustic absorption gives a comprehensive two-layer treatment.
Is the 11901 available in a 25mm (1") thickness?
The Dynacore range is available in 12mm (1/2") and 25mm (1") thicknesses. The 11901 is the 12mm version. Contact us to confirm availability of the 25mm option.
