The GME GX750W is a "black box" modular VHF marine radio a fundamentally different installation approach from conventional fixed-mount radios. Instead of a front-panel radio unit mounted at the helm, the GX750W separates into two components: a compact main unit (the "black box" transceiver) that can be hidden in a locker, bilge, or under-dash location, and a full-function LCD controller microphone that mounts in a convenient flush-mount position at the helm via the included 500mm interconnecting lead or optional 6m extension cable (LE107).
This modular approach is ideal for vessels where dash space is extremely limited or where a clean, uncluttered helm appearance is preferred only the controller microphone is visible at the helm. The LCD display on the controller mic features large, easy-to-read numbers with adjustable brightness and colour options.
Full VHF specifications match the GX700 range: IPX7 waterproofing, 25/1W switchable power, dual and triple watch, programmable priority channels, programmable scan, and complete International, USA, and Canadian channel sets.
