Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between AHD and CVBS output on the SV-CAMUNIS? AHD (Analogue High Definition) delivers a 720p image to compatible AHD-capable head units or monitors. CVBS is the standard analogue video signal used by most older head units and monitors. The SV-CAMUNIS can be switched between the two to suit the connected display.
Can the SV-CAMUNIS be used as a front-facing camera as well as a reversing camera? Yes. The SV-CAMUNIS is designed for both reversing and front-facing installation, and the mirror/non-mirror switching allows the image to be oriented correctly for either application.
What mounting options are included? Five mounting options are included covering flush mount, lip mount, and a universal number plate bracket, among others, to suit a wide range of installation positions across different vehicle types.
Is the SV-CAMUNIS compatible with my head unit? The SV-CAMUNIS outputs AHD 720p or CVBS video, covering the two most common analogue camera input types. Confirm your head unit's supported camera input type before purchasing. Contact us for fitment advice.
What is the IP68 rating on the SV-CAMUNIS? IP68 indicates the camera is dust-tight and protected against continuous submersion in water beyond one metre, making it suitable for all standard weather conditions encountered in vehicle installations.
