It is not compatible with vehicles fitted with non-MMCS factory radios. The kit covers eleven models sharing the MMCS platform across the ASX, Challenger, Delica, Lancer (including Evolution), Outlander, Pajero, Pajero Sport, all three Triton generations (MN, MQ, MR), and the Peugeot 4008, providing a single plug and play solution across a broad range of MMCS-equipped vehicles.
The kit connects via the factory 20-pin and 8-pin Mitsubishi-style connectors to a standard ISO output without cutting factory wiring. The included SWI-MT01 SWC interface retains factory steering wheel audio controls with major branded aftermarket head units on select models. The included AXBUCH-MI6V harness retains the factory OEM reverse camera on vehicles fitted with an 8-pin camera socket. Vehicles without this socket cannot use the camera retention function of this kit.
The factory standard Mitsubishi audio system is retained. The Rockford Fosgate amplified system is not retained by this kit and requires the additional AXTO-MI2 interface, sold separately. AUX input retention is available on select vehicles when used with an aftermarket head unit featuring a stereo RCA AUX input. No antenna adaptor is included and must be sourced separately. The kit uses the vehicle's existing factory OEM radio brackets for mounting, with no additional mounting hardware included or required.
