The STDAB-1 mounts on the inside of the vehicle windscreen using its self-adhesive backing. Before permanently fixing the antenna, temporarily position it to confirm the best location for reception. The antenna should not be mounted where it will interfere with the driver's view. For vehicles with metallic tinted glass, locate the area used for toll-tags (refer to the vehicle owner's manual) and test the aerial in that area before permanent installation. Ensure the glass surface is above 20 degrees Celsius and clean it thoroughly with isopropanol or similar before applying the adhesive.
