The 3dBi mast option provides a total antenna length of 445mm, which is best suited for short-range communication in highly built-up areas including cities, dense woodlands, and mountain regions, as it produces a wider UHF signal which is less likely to be impacted by these obstructions compared to higher gain antennas.
The 6dBi mast option provides a total antenna length of 945mm, which is best suited for medium-range communication in various environments such as suburban landscapes, towns, and low-density woodlands, as the elliptical radiation pattern is more rounded compared to a high gain antenna and radiates further compared to a low gain antenna. The whips mount to a black elevated feed base which is fitted with a medium duty black coated stainless steel spring.
