Product Overview
The GME AD201 is a male to male antenna thread adaptor that converts between a 3/8" thread and a 5/16" thread, specifically for 27 MHz CB antenna installations. Both ends of the adaptor have external (male) threads a 3/8" male on one end and a 5/16" male on the other allowing connection between components where thread sizes need to be bridged.
The 3/8" thread was widely used in older 27 MHz CB antenna bases, certain marine antenna mounts, and some aftermarket bull bar and gutter mount hardware. The 5/16" TPI thread is the Australian standard for CB and UHF CB antenna whips. The AD201 allows a 5/16" male-thread antenna whip to be used in a 3/8" female-thread mount, or bridges other 3/8"/5/16" mismatch scenarios in 27 MHz CB installations.
